Understanding My Role as a Writer

 Firstly I studied my genre on google and found on:

Psychological thrillers often incorporate elements of mystery and include themes of crime, morality, mental illness,

 substance abuse, multiple realities or a dissolving sense of reality, and unreliable narrators.

This fascinated me to write my story something about psychological thriller and I came across the concept of DID;

That Disassociate identity disorder is a mental disorder characterized by the presence of at least two distinct and relatively enduring personality.

I got interested into the topic and dug deep into what it actually was, I then watched a few real life documentaries of patients who suffered from DID.

These documentaries referred a movie "Sybil", that is basically made on a real life DID patient. I am further planning to watch the movie, as A good writer always knows what he is writing about.
