Codes and Conventions of  Psychological Mystery

When creating a psychological/mystery thriller codes and conventions are kept in consideration to maintain the genre. The most important  codes and conventions concern their attention to detail within the theme of degeneration, whether this concerns protagonists psyche, society or establishment. For example in the movie se7en,where constant raining and low key lighting presents a world which has lost its way.

Moreover in terms of cinematography the typical codes and conventions of genre includes long Ariel shots, closeups and even long shots. similarly I am aiming to take such inspiration from multiple films for my project.
